What should I wear?
We recommend comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting a little dusty. Closed-toe shoes or boots are required for everyone's safety. Dress for the weather, as many of our experiences take place outdoors. Layers are often your best friend in Missouri!

Do I need horse experience?
Not at all. In fact, many of our guests have never been around horses before arriving at Zenhorse®. We'll introduce you to everything you need to know and guide you every step of the way. No horse knowledge or special skills are required—just a willingness to be present and curious.

Will I be riding the horses?
No. All Zenhorse® experiences take place on the ground. Our work focuses on building awareness, connection, and relationship with the horses rather than riding them.

If we're not riding, what does interacting with the horses look like?
Every experience is a little different, but you may spend time simply observing a horse, walking alongside one, grooming, leading, or engaging in thoughtfully designed activities that invite reflection and connection. There is no "right way" to interact. Sometimes the most meaningful moments happen in quiet presence rather than doing anything at all. And yes—there's always time for horse hugs and selfies.

Can children participate?
Some of our programs are designed specifically for adults, while others welcome children and families. Please check the details for the event or service you're interested in, or feel free to contact us if you're unsure which experience is the best fit.

What if it rains?
Most experiences continue rain or shine. We have access to covered spaces that allow us to adapt when needed. In the event of severe weather or conditions that would make it unsafe to gather, we'll contact you with any changes as soon as possible.

Where should I park?
Parking is available on the property. When you enter the driveway, continue straight back to the white buildings. Parking is on your right. For larger events, signs will direct you to the appropriate parking area.

Do I need an appointment?
Yes. All visits to Zenhorse® are by appointment, registration, or scheduled event. Because our programs are intentionally designed for small groups and individual experiences, we aren't able to accommodate unannounced visits. If you'd like to stop by to meet the horses or see the ranch, just give us a call or send us a text—we'd love to arrange a time.
