Sprucing up Blue Sage

Updated: Apr 28, 2022

We are so grateful for all of the helping hands getting Blue Sage ready for our Open House. Thank you Terri Terhaar for tung oiling the barn wall!!!

I didn't even know what tung oil was, but apparently it helps preserve wood that is exposed to the elements. Who knew!?

As you can imagine, there are many tasks on an 18 acre ranch. We are so grateful for all the help we have received. If you'd like to volunteer, please give us a shout!

Getting ready for the Open House

So much to do! We have been busy cleaning out cobwebs, planting a few flowers, releasing fish into the plake (yes, I said plake. That's what I'm calling our water area because it's too big for a pond and kind of small for a lake.) We've been planting grass seed, fencing pasture, preparing the bonfire area... whew! And a big thank you to Jane Ferko for trimming some of the bushes that were trying to take over!

And guess what! There's still a bunch to do if you'd like to join us. We are still splitting wood, hanging old barn tin in the arena gathering space, laying flooring in the spa room, chalk painting the coffee bar... never a shortage of things to do, and it really is great fun.
